The novelist and screenwriter talks about adapting novels to the screen, May 4.

Deborah Moggach wrote the screenplay for the film Pride and Prejudice, starring Keira Knightly, which was nominated for a BAFTA. She has adapted Nancy Mitford’s Love in a Cold Climate for BBC and six of her novels for TV (including Seesaw, Close Relations and Final Demand). She has adapted Anne Frank’s Diary for the BBC as well as Anne Fine’s children’s book Goggle-Eyes, which won the Writers Guild prize for best adapted series, and she is author of several other screenplays.
